About RPS College of Veterinary Sciences

Established in 2021, RPS College of Veterinary Sciences is approved by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and the Government of India. The college is affiliated with Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS) in Hisar. It was founded with the mission to promote excellence among students in professional courses and follows the B.V.Sc. & A.H. and VLD Diploma curriculum as per the Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education (MSVE 2016-2017) set by the VCI, New Delhi.

Admissions at RPS College of Veterinary Sciences

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks (except SC category) in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board approved by COBSE, CBSE, ICSE, or Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani.

  • SC category candidates are allowed a relaxation of up to 5%, requiring a minimum of 47.5% marks in aggregate in the specified subjects. This relaxation does not apply to management quota seats.
  • Candidates should have attained or will attain the age of 17 years by the end of the year.

  • The upper age limit for candidates (except SC and BC) is 25 years as of the registration date. 

  • SC and BC candidates from Haryana State are given a relaxation of 5 years. This relaxation does not apply to management quota seats.
  • Only certificates from boards recognized and approved by COBSE, New Delhi, CBSE, ICSE, and Board of School Education, Haryana are valid. Certificates from unrecognized or unapproved boards will render the candidate ineligible for admission. If a candidate is admitted based on such a certificate, their admission will be canceled.
  • If the qualifying examination results are declared but the certificate is not issued, candidates must provide a certificate from the head of the last attended institute.
  • The last date for submitting the online admission form will be announced on the LUVAS website.
  • The admission form should include a recent colored photograph (2.0″ X 2.0″) showing the candidate’s name and the date it was taken, without a cap or dark glasses. Failure to meet these specifications will result in rejection of the application.

NEET Examination

All candidates (except NRI and Foreign Nationals) should have appeared in the NEET UG Examination. Admissions are based on NEET UG merit. In case of a tie in NEET scores, merit will be determined by the percentage of aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology in the 10+2 examination. If the tie persists, the older candidate will be given preference.

Veterinary Livestock Development Diploma (VLDD)

The Veterinary Livestock Development Diploma (VLDD) course in Veterinary Sciences is for two years at RPS College of Veterinary Sciences.

VLDD Eligibility Criteria

RPS College of Veterinary Sciences offers a Veterinary Livestock Development (VLD) Diploma, which requires candidates to satisfy certain requirements.

  1. The candidate has to pass the Veterinary Livestock Development Diploma Entrance Test (VLDDET) conducted by LUVAS, Hisar. 
  2. Separate admission forms for the VLDD program are available on the LUVAS, Hisar website.
  3. The candidates should have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. 
  4. All the aspiring students are advised to regularly check the LUVAS website for the latest admission updates.
  5. Applicants must at least be 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year. 
  6. For reserved categories (SC and BC), there is a relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit. This relaxation does not apply to management quota seats in affiliated private colleges.

Candidates should frequently visit the LUVAS website for updates on the counseling and admission procedures for the upcoming years.

Counseling and Admission Process

  • Admission forms can be rejected by the competent authority for valid reasons.
  • Seats are allocated through online counseling, with details available on the university website.
  • Admissions are based on NEET UG merit lists for each category. Candidates must report for document verification and admission formalities as scheduled on the university’s website. No separate letters will be issued.

Fee Payment and Formalities

  • Fees and other charges must be paid on the spot during admission. Failure to do so will result in the seat being declared vacant.
  • Candidates should complete all admission formalities, including fee payment and medical examination, to secure their admission.
  • Absence during document verification, fee deposition, or medical examination will disqualify the candidate from subsequent counseling, even if they have a higher merit rank.

Medical Examination

  • Candidates must undergo a medical examination and submit a medical certificate on the same day. 
  • If found medically unfit, the candidate’s fees will be refunded, and their admission will be canceled.

Refund Policy

  • Admission will be canceled if any formalities are incomplete, and dues paid will be refunded according to rules.
