The Punjab PG medical admission process is based on the scores obtained in the NEET PG examination. The counselling for this admission is conducted by the Baba Faridkot University of

Health Sciences in Punjab. The total number of seats available for the MD/MS/PG Diploma courses is 719, while there are 109 seats available for the MDS course. Aspirants who have qualified for the NEET PG exam can participate in this counselling process to secure admission to the desired course.

Eligibility Criteria in Punjab NEET PG  Counselling

• Only candidates who have completed their MBBS from BFUHS University are eligible for admission to government medical colleges in Punjab.
• Candidates who have completed their MBBS from Adesh University should select Adesh University as their preferred institute while registering for counselling.
• Candidates who have completed their MBBS from SGRD Medical College in Amritsar should select SGRD as their preferred institute while registering for counselling.
• For general category seats in government institutes such as DMC Ludhiana and CMC Ludhiana, candidates who have completed their MBBS from BFUHS University are eligible to apply.
• Reserved seats for SC and BC categories are available to candidates who are domicile of Punjab, regardless of where they completed their MBBS

• Allotment submission form
• Secondary school certificate for date of birth proof
• Application form copy
• NEET PG 2023 result
• Compulsory rotatory internship certificate
• MBBS pass certificate form a recognized institute of MCI
• Original copy of photo ID proof (Voter ID/PAN card/Driving License) for biometric verification
• A set of photocopy of all the above-mentioned documents

Punjab NEET PG 2023 Counselling Procedure

• 1.Counselling Registration:
• Interested candidates must register themselves online on the official website of BFUHS.
• Candidates must ensure their eligibility before filling out the registration form.
• Candidates need to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature.
• They must submit the application fee through a challan form at any OBC Branch.
• 2 Appear for Online Counselling and Exercise College and Course Options:
• Candidates must be physically present at the counselling venue on the scheduled date and time.
• They need to provide their choice of college and specialty at the time of counselling.
• Allotment of Seats:
• The authorities determine the merit of the applicants based on their NEET PG scores and make allocation of seats based on merit, category and exercised choices.
• Candidates must bring all original documents at the time of physical counselling.
• Submission of 6-Months Tuition Fee:
  candidates have to pay tuition fee for 6 months at the time of counselling through a demand draft at Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.
• Reporting at Allotted College:
• Finally, candidates must report to the allotted college as per schedule.
• Candidates selected for admission to various PG courses have to submit a bond while reporting.
