MD/MS in India is one of the most popular career options for students interested in pursuing a Post-Graduation Medical course in INDIA. MD stands for Doctor of Medicine, and it entails three years of clinical education in the field of medicine while pursuing an MD. Students receive specialized training to treat patients/diseases using non-surgical procedures, i.e. only medicines.
MS stands for master of surgery, and it entails three years of clinical training in the field of surgery. MS students receive speciality training to treat patients/diseases using various surgical procedures.
INDIA MD/MS ADMISSION
To be admitted to MD/MS programs in INDIA, candidates must pass the NEET-PG entrance exam, which is administered by NBE each year. To apply for NEET-PG, candidates must have stable or provisional enrollment with MCI and have completed an MBBS degree from an MCI-recognized medical college/institute with a one-year mandatory internship. After passing the NEET-PG entrance exam, students must go through NEET-PG counselling at the Central and State levels.
MCC (Medical Counseling Committee) provides NEET-PG counselling on behalf of DGHS (Director General Health Secretary). Counseling for the All India Quota is done by the MCC.

Process of applying for MD MS in India:

Concerning the NBE (National Board of Examinations):
The Government of India established the NBE in 1975 and provides quality education in modern medicine. The primary goal of the NBE is to conduct Postgraduate Medical Examinations across India. It is a completely online mode for the NBE exams. In India, NBE is overseen by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. According to recent changes in medical entrance exams, NBE is now conducting a single entrance exam for admissions to MD/MS/DNB programmes throughout the country.
