Eligibility Criteria

1. The candidate should be at least 17 years old as of December 31st of the year of admission. 
2. There is no upper age limit as per the latest guidelines.
3. The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognized board. 
4. They should secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

MCC NEET UG 2024 Counseling Process and Steps

The MCC NEET UG counseling is conducted online through its official website. For AIQ seats, there will be four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the Stray Vacancy Round, with the number of rounds depending on seat vacancy status. 

Last year, MCC added two additional rounds for BDS and BSc Nursing course admissions. Medical Seats in India allotment is done for government and private medical colleges, deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS, and JIPMER.

The MCC NEET counseling process follows a minimum of seven steps, each detailed below:

Step 1: Release of Seat Matrix

MCC releases the Medical Seats in India matrix for MBBS and BDS courses across participating universities offering 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats.

Step 2: Registration

Candidates should register online for each round of NEET 2024 counseling, except for the Stray Vacancy round. Registration requires details such as contact information, NEET 2024 Roll Number, Rank, and Scores, along with other mandatory information. Candidates should also pay non-refundable registration fees and a refundable security deposit.

Step 3: Choice Filling

Candidates select their preferred colleges for admission. After logging into the MCC website, registered candidates fill in their choices. MCC advises, “After reviewing the available medical seats in India, prepare a tentative list according to your college preferences before filling choices online.”

Step 4: Choice Locking

Candidates should lock their entered choices during the choice locking period to print their submitted choices. The MCC warns, “Do not wait until the last minute to register, lock choices, and print them. Carefully review your submitted choices before locking, as they cannot be modified or changed once locked, even if a mistake is made.”

Step 5: Verification by Universities and Processing of Seat Allotment

Universities and colleges verify registration details and choices submitted by candidates. They then release the Medical seats in India allotment result and share it with MCC.

Step 6: Seat Allotment Result

MCC releases the seat allotment results for registered candidates who submitted choices. Initially, a provisional result is released for candidates to submit objections, if any. The final seat allotment list is then released. Based on their seat allotment, candidates can accept the seat, report to the institute, or opt for an upgrade by registering for further rounds of counseling.

Step 7: Document Upload

After the seat allotment list is released, candidates should upload the required documents to the MCC NEET UG 2024 counseling website. The list of documents is provided on the website.

Step 8: Institute Reporting
