Karnataka NEET-UG Counseling 2023 - Cut-off, Fee Structure and Seat Matrix | AR Group of Education

The Karnataka NEET 2023 counseling process for MBBS and BDS courses will be conducted in multiple rounds. Admissions to MBBS and BDS courses are granted solely based on the candidate’s NEET scores. NEET is a nationwide exam conducted for admission to medical and dental courses. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is responsible for organizing counseling sessions for state quota seats in medical and dental courses.

Karnataka NEET UG counselling overview

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is responsible for conducting the admission process for NEET UG courses in Karnataka for the year 2023. The admission process will be conducted online, and candidates will be required to submit their NEET 2023 scores. The NEET scores will be the sole basis for selection, and candidates will not be required to appear for any additional entrance exams. The admission process will be open to all eligible candidates who will meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the KAE.

Admission procedure NEET UG counseling 2023

The Karnataka NEET counseling 2023 process involves the following stages:

Registration: Candidates need to register on the official website of KEA by entering their personal details, educational qualifications, uploading their photograph, signature and thumb impression, and paying the registration fee.
List of registered candidates: KEA will release a list of registered candidates along with the schedule for document verification.
Document verification: Candidates need to carry all the required documents to the verification centre for offline document verification
Secret Key and choice filling: Eligible candidates will be provided with a secret key to fill in their choices on the option-entry portal.
Seat allotment list: KEA will release a list of candidates who have been allotted a seat based on their merit and choice of colleges.
Post-allotment process: Candidates who have been allotted a seat need to confirm their choice on the official website of KEA, pay the fee, and report to the allocated institute with the admission order.

Eligibility for NEET UG counseling 2023

To be eligible for a particular requirement, the candidate must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from an educational institution located in Karnataka.
In addition to this, the candidate must have studied for a period of seven years at a government school located in Karnataka.
Alternatively, the candidate must have passed Class 11 and Class 12 from an educational institution located in Karnataka.
For this alternative requirement, either of the candidate’s parents must have studied for a period of seven years at an educational institution located in Karnataka.
Another eligibility requirement is that either the candidate or either of their parents must have Kannada/Tulu/Kodava as their mother tongue.
Additionally, the parent with the aforementioned mother tongue must be a domicile of Karnataka state.
