National Testing Agency (NTA), the governing body responsible for conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG), is set to launch the application process for NEET UG 2023 soon. As per an official from NTA, registration for the exam is scheduled to commence in the first week of March. Interested candidates can apply for NEET (UG) – 2023 through online mode by visiting the website neet.nta.nic.in. Once the portal is activated, applicants can fill out the application form.

A step-by-step guide to fill out the NTA NEET application form:

To fill out the NEET UG application form online, follow the steps outlined below:

Step 1: Registration Form – Register for the online application form and take note of the system-generated application number. Provide the necessary information while filling out the form. 

Step 2: Application Form – Using the application number and pre-created password, log in to complete the application form. This includes providing personal information, selecting the question paper medium and exam cities, and uploading images and documents (if required). Ensure that the scanned documents are uploaded correctly. 

Step 3: Fee Payment – After completing Steps 1 and 2, pay the exam fee. 

Finally, download, save, and print a copy of the confirmation page of the application form for future reference. (Note that the form can only be downloaded after the fee payment has been successfully processed.)

NEET UG 2023 eligibility criteria: 

The eligibility criteria for NEET UG 2023 are as follows:

  • Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2023. There is no upper age limit. 
  • Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects from a recognized board. The minimum aggregate marks required for general category candidates are 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the minimum aggregate mark required is 40%.
  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
  • Number of Attempts: There is no limit on the number of attempts that a candidate can take for NEET UG.

NEET UG exam Pattern: 

Based on last year’s information bulletin, the test pattern for NEET (UG) – 2022 consists of four subjects, each with two sections. Section A comprises 35 questions, while Section B has 15 questions. Out of these 15 questions, candidates can choose to attempt any 10.
